I just joined the Thursday Three on Sparkling Southerner. head on over and link up your blog post today![/ctt]As a native ATLien of 23 years I sometimes struggle with finding things to do on the weekends. I am in the process of rediscovering the city. Since I have been back from being at school, I have time to go places that did not exist when I was in high school. Here are 3 fun places to go in Atlanta, enjoy!
I know it looks super legit like you would have to know how to golf to go, but that is not true!! You can be at any level to play and it is a lot of fun. Once you get the hang of the club and swinging it, you’ll start getting balls into the targets! I suggest going at night time so that the targets light up and its really pretty. There is an advantage of going earlier in the day because it’s cheaper in cost. If you go with a group, the more people you go with, you can split the price with and it’ll be cheaper per person! That is because you pay one price for the hour no matter the group size!
Open –until Noon – $25/Hour
Noon –until 5pm – $35/Hour
5pm –until Close – $45/Hour
Sorry for the low quality images! I left my camera at home but you can get the gist of the place!
There is so much on the top of Ponce City Market at its Skyline Park. There are mini carnival games like Derby Race, Basketball, Skee Ball, Ring Toss, High Striker, Slide, and Heege Tower! The Heege tower is where you are sitting in a seat with one other person and you pull yourself up like a pulley and you can see the whole Atlanta skyline! Its amazing yet scary if you are afraid of heights. You can play a round of putt putt while watching the sunset which is beautiful. There is also great food and drinks! It is such a great place to go with the family, date night or a night out with the girls.
They serve super fun drinks including:
Ponce park cup – cucumber-infused old 4th ward vodka, lillet blanc, amaro cio cara, honey, lemon.
Pemberton’s frozen ga julep – mint-infused bourbon, peach, coca-cola
Strawberries & roebuck’s frozen rita – tequila, martini & rossi bianco, strawberries, lime
The fernet bonneville – fernet branca, imbue vermouth, ginger, grapefruit, lime, rosemary
R.F.D. rum ricke – rum, maraschino, blackberry, lime
Beltline blue fizz – gin, tequila, blue curacao, absinthe, rosewater, lemon.
Bbq pork – sweet & sour; hot, cole slaw, bread & butter pickles
Walking taco – barbacoa, avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream, fritos
Flavored popcorn – cheddar, caramel, and sweet & sassy
Ice cream sandwich
Adults – $10

It is such a great place to go as a native but also if you are from out of town! It never gets old, the fish and animals are so beautiful to look at. Its great that you can go after 4pm and get discounted tickets!! Everyone always complains about how expensive it is to go so if I ever want to go with friends I would go in the evening, its a great way to save money or you could use the extra cash at the gift shop!
All Ages: After 4pm every day of the week – $26.95 +tax
Adult (ages 13-64): $36.95 + tax
Child (ages 3-12): $30.95 + tax
