Hair Essentials

Everyone loves getting their hair done at the salon but why not figure out a way to do it yourself at home?! Here are my favorite products that I use to make my hair look and feel like I just came out of the salon!

1. It’s a 10 keratin leave in conditioner

I have really curly hair so after I wash my hair I always have to use a leave in conditioner. This product is really light weight and you spray it on your hair. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling silky smooth before I go to blow dry it.

2. T3 Rotating Curling Iron

I starting becoming obsessed with T3 when I got their interchangeable curling wand. It was the first time I was able to make curls successfully on my own! I got this curling iron and it rotates! Woah! Crazy right? It’s actually really great because it does the work for you. You just clamp at the bottom of your hair and it rotates up when you press the button. Hold for a few moments then release and the perfect curl comes out!

3. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

Everyone hates going through the process of washing their hair,  I know I do! This product is perfect for those days you are on the run and simply do not have time to do the whole routine. You just spray some on your roots, wait a a minute or so and then rub it in! It smells great and definitely adds a day or two to your hair. It works wonders.

4. Dry Bar Tress Press Digital Flat Iron

I have had some problems finding the right flat iron over the years. My hair requires a lot of heat when styling so I need an iron that goes pretty high. A lot of irons that do not have an adjustable temperature stay at a pretty low temp. This flat iron by the dry bar goes up to 450 degrees F. If I use it that high its for the initial straightening right after I blow dry. I can usually let that last for a whole week without re-straightening it but if I have to go back for a touch up I put the temperature down to about 370.

5. Dry Bar Money Maker Flexible Hairspray

All my life I have never really used hairspray before but now that I am older and understand that my hair needs a little help battling the humidity I have found hairspray to be a new friend. The first time I went to the dry bar it was great and amazing but as soon as I left the salon my hair fell. I didn’t ask the lady to use hair spray because I barely used to use product on my hair but after that moment I realized that hair spray is a must during the summer at least. All of the Dry bar’s hair products smell amazing so it was crazy when the hair spray even has the same scent!

I love It’s a 10 products and use the conditioner on my hair. Is it wrong that the rotating curling iron scares me? Also – Love Living Proof and I need to purchase some more.

Omg no it’s fine! They have non rotating ones!! I was scared at first but it’s not bad you just need to pay attention! But they definitely have ones that are manual and curling wands that are great too!!

I also recently started using hairspray to combat the humidity. I’ve found that it’s all about finding the right one that doesn’t make your hair too sticky.

I’m not a huge hairspray fan but when I have long days or it’s humid out, I definitely reach for a spritz or two! The Drybar one is *amazing*!
